Commentaire

P’ī désigne le méchant. Quand p’ī domine, le ciel et la terre sont sans rapport, les êtres ne se produisent pas. Quand le haut et le bas sont désunis, l’empire est sans gouvernement digne de ce nom.

Commentaire

Fâng est grandeur, prospérité. L’activité intelligente est cause de la grandeur et de la prospérité. Le prince qui l’a obtenue est grand et brillant ; il doit répandre son éclat sur le monde, l’éclairer. La lune devient pleine, puis diminue. Le ciel et la terre sont alternativement pleins et vides, croissent et diminuent avec les saisons. A plus forte raison en est-il de l’homme et des esprits.

Fâng signifie grandeur, prospérité. Le mouvement, l’acte, dirigés par l’intelligence, le constituent. Le prince qui l’atteint, qui devient grand et illustre, doit être sans désir anxieux ; il saura briller sur le monde.
Le soleil, lorsqu’il a atteint le milieu du ciel, décline ; la lune devenue pleine, diminue (litt. : est mangée). Le ciel et la terre sont tantôt pleins, abondants, tantôt vides, selon les saisons ; ils diminuent et cessent d’agir (après avoir grandi et agi puissamment au printemps et en été). — A plus forte raison, il en est ainsi de l’homme, il en est ainsi des esprits

Symbolisme

Tonnerre et éclair forment le Koua fâng. Le grand et sage tranche les discussions, décide des cas litigieux et fait exécuter les châtiments.
